davet
I offer a cPanel Shared Hosting account without a static IP. Customers have the option to add a static IP for $2/month extra. This is under PRODUCT ADDONS. the order comes in fine and if they add a static IP it does get billed correctly, but within WHM the site gets setup as a shared IP. I then have to manually change the IP for this site using CHANGE SITE'S IP ADDRESS within WHM. Is there a way that if a customer adds a Static IP to their order the account gets activated using a static IP? there are free IPs on the server already. It would be nice if the account was setup with a static IP if the customer added one to the order. It would also be nice if WHMCS populated the field under the products IP ADDRESS with the Static IP. Is this possible?
D-Litz
You need to setup a package in WHM that allows a dedicated IP address... Then you need to make a matching Package in WHMCS for the same thing. They have to mirror each other. I attached to screen shots just in case you’re not familiar.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 11, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 11, 2010 You'd need to use a configurable option instead of an addon. Then you can use the Configurable Package Addon to automate it: http://www.whmcs.com/configurableaddon.php
XN-Matt
John - Would be nice that if you offer a package with a "dedicated IP" add-on, that instead of having to create new packages, that it would see the add-on and assign the IP appropriately.
