lighthost
Hello, I have 2 main hosting packages (A and B), each package have 2 plans (monthly and annually). My client ask me to upgrade his hosting account from A (monthly payments) to B (annually payments). I can do that, but the amount the client need to pay for that is $0 (zero). How come ? Thanks.

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted March 22, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted March 22, 2010 If you've enabled upgrades/downgrades in Setup > Product/Services > Edit > Upgrades, the client can do it themselves and WHMCS will handle everything automaticlaly.
lighthost
Hi John, I already enabled the upgrades/downgrades option, but if you try to upgrade from Package A (monthly payment) to Package B (annual payment) - I get invoice on $0. If I tried to upgrade package in the same payment circle , there is no problem with the charging amount. Thanks, Victor
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted March 22, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted March 22, 2010 This means no payment is due. For an explanation of the calculation refer to our documentation: http://wiki.whmcs.com/Automated_Upgrades_and_Downgrades

John, How can the admin do this though and have the proper invoice generated? Or must the end user do this?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 15, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 15, 2010 You'd need to login as client and place the upgrade order on their behalf.
