ChrisB
Hello Thanks for the link, the standard price at the moment does seem to be $38 a month which although isn't a lot of money I think is a rip off personally, that is half the price of leasing a very basic dedicated server! (OK very very very basic ded server but Im sure you get my point lol), just seems a complete waste of money was hoping to find some super duper deal somewhere but alas after many hours of searching this seems to be it. Will have to have a re-think, although $38 is only small change in the real world it just seems a bit over the top may have t go away and see have a bash at getting on with plesk a bit better, 4 servers so all in all $152 a month for software to replace software that is already doing the job! I just dont find Plesk anywhere near as user friendly as WHM. mmmmmmmm thanks agin off to do a bit of thinking Chris
roop
Only cheaper way I know is to run cPanel/WHM in a VPS, which drops the license price down to $15/18 per month. If you go that route watch the disk I/O on the VPS as cPanel can be quite chunky, but in a decent VPS it can be OK.

Daniel
The money you spend on cPanel/WHM is nothing compared to the amount of money and time you'll spend on trying to fix Plesk problems.
easyhosting
below are 2 who sell external dedicated server cpanel licences http://cpaneldirect.net/ http://www.instantcpanellicense.com/ Hello All I am getting to the stage where i have had it with Plesk 9, everything is a faff nothing is easy and it is starting to drive me insane!!!!! I have dedicated servers Plesk 9 came bundled with them, I am seriously considerg getting rid of it and installing WHM and cpanel instead there must be a good deal out there somewhere, sadly WHM has always suffered from being wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy overpriced anyone seen any offers anywhere recently? thanks inadvance Chris
bear
Many dedicated providers can give you a license for WHM/CP for ~$25/month with the server. Pretty cost effective in the long run, so ask your dedi provider if that's a possibility to change to that (migration between CPs on an existing server will be "interesting" to say the least). Cpanel isn't without it's own share of oddness and issues, but it's far and away easier to work with than Plesk, IMO. I no longer use or offer Plesk on my servers.
gasxtreme
Typically you can get cPanel cheapest through the datacenter where you host your servers; if they don't offer it, than the website that tbenoit posted is about the cheapest I've seen for an external license.
ChrisB
Thanks for all the replies guys much appreciated, my server provider only uses Plesk for some unknown reason can only presume they were made an offer they could not refuse, so thats a no no. Think for the moment I will have to stick with Plesk, after digging a bit further today it seems a migration may also not be as straight forward as I was hoping it is something I am going to have to "lead" up to, aand get a lot more organised first, I still dont have WHMCS fully configured through having a nightmare with SSL, I will get that working organise and spring clean my server stock and then look at it again, I may be best going straight to source cpanel.net I believe? They seem to offer excellent support and a full professional migration service just need to make sure my server fit their criteria and if I am readin their prices correctly for 4 servers I would get a 20% discount so if I buy the 3 year license for wach one I can get the price down to an equivalent of $23 a month per server seems a lot more realistic. I will get evryhting working and work towards this I think, I am sure there will be a few spring cleans so to speak I will need to do in order for my servers to qualify for their migration I would feel a lot happier with them doing it than me lol Again thanks for all the replies guys much appreciated Chris
