Using WHMCS to handle multiple reseller accounts on the server? and other questions..

Damainman

Question

Hello,

I have one server but I have several reseller accounts on it to keep the type of websites organized.

For example:

1. One reseller account handles a specific groups of clients I'm hosting.

2. Another reseller account handles just normal hosting clients

3. Another reseller account handles all my friends that i'm hosting

4. etc...

A. Would this cause an issue if I use WHMCS?

B. Can WHMCS handle multiple reseller accounts on the same server?

C. Is there a way to configure which reseller account new clients hosting accounts are created on based on certain criteria or maybe using a link generated by WHMCS to make this happen?

D. If I use paypal, does this support recurring billing?

Thank you in advance for assisting me.

  • WHMCS Support Manager

A & B. It won't cause a problem, add each reseller account as a server.

C. Add each account as a server, then you can define server groups and select which products are installed on which server group.

D. Subscriptions are supported which provides a kind of recurring billing.

Awesome. Thank you for the quick response.

One last question,

Considering the scenario above, adding each reseller account as a separate server.

Lets say in WHM/CPANEL I move an account from one reseller to another reseller on the same server. What would be the proper way to update the user account in WHMCS so it can still properly manage the hosting account or should do it via another method?

Thank you.

You'd just select the new server from the available server list on the particular clients product page and save the changes.

Please contact for the webmaster about the reseller...

Hello.

Well, i am not sure if understand very well what Damainman wants, but... i think that i need the same thing.

I did not want to open another post, because if it was the same, to avoid having two repeated post.

Let's see, I comment to you how I would like to do.

I'd like to create two reseller website hosting, one in Spanish, with the domain name (examplespa.com) and one in English language with the domain name (exampleeng.com), then they would be two different domains and would have to operate independent of each other, even with different plans.

Is this what you were asking Damainman?

If so, could you tell me or anyone, if it is possible, how step by step it would be done? (how configurate it)

Thanks and sorry for my english.
