thecubehost
Hi, I am having an issue sending emails from WHMCS because the emails tend to go to the client junk mail. I know everyone is going to say check the rDNS, SPF, and domain keys and stuff. This is what I did though. I sent emails from email1@domain.com to a Yahoo email address through Mozilla Thunderbird. It went to the inbox. I then sent the emails from that same email address via WHMCS and it went to the bulk. Furthermore, I did configure the SMTP in WHMCS also. And the SMTP was configure specifically for that email address in which I used(email1@domain.com) So what should I do to fix this problem?
norgaard
Hi, first thing to check could be to see if a mail send out from you has all a "normal" mail usually contains. Example is if mail doesn't have any data in subject field, then score for "possible" spam gets higher..... I am not sure if data in forms is being handled differently in different browsers? Have you checked if sending without smtp using standard Outgoing Mail Server makes a different result? Some hosts also sets up alternative port for mail to f.ex. 2525 intstead of 25 ..... Just some thoughts .... René Edited December 24, 2009 by norgaard
thecubehost
Hi, I do put a subject, content and the from field has contents. And in WHMCS, there is only an option for SMTP and PHP mail. Also, the outgoing port for mail is not set to 25.
Solstice
I'm having this problem as well. About 50% of the mail sent out by WHMCS is getting flagged as spam in GMail/Google Apps.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted January 5, 2010 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted January 5, 2010 Check the email headers for any tags from spam scanners or contact the provider to find out why your email was marked as spam and how to avoid it.

For Yahoo, you need to get whitelisted by them to have any hope of getting e-mails directly to the Inbox. You need to contact them to get the ball rolling
