Or maybe in settings, be able for iwhmcs to auto check every 5 minutes etc for tickets/orders.

 

I agree, if this were possible it would be a fantastic update. Either way I think the app is amazing and well worth the investment.

 

I haven’t tried the mobile version only Iwhmcs. I would love to hear a comparison from someone who has tried both.

The issue with having iWHMCS check for new tickets is not possible I believe as this is what the Apple push notifications service is for.

 

That would kill your battery to have it try to pull those results every time, thus why many are using pushing methods instead (blackberry, iphone, etc)

iPhone App was a long wish for me. Cheers, WHMCS! It was my birthday (and holiday) gift. But it doesnt work for me yet. Of course I bought the license... I hope support wont take long, I really need it to work for the next days... :(

 

Already did everything the wiki page told to do too.

 

I only get blank pages instead of orders tab. It shows orders correctly.

Support was kind and very fast. They already resolved my issue with blank pages :D Really happy!!

Hi

 

Good App but not everything works for me.

1/ Support - Answered tickets - click on ticket and it just spins saying loading (and doesnt.)

2/ permissions - Set at full administrator I cant a) edit client details, b) enter to-do list c) view client notes.

 

Wish list - be able to view client invoices, pay invoice, change password

Can you manage a customer's Products and Domains from the iPhone app? I don't see anything listed as far as providing these capabilities nor do a see a screenshot. I only see you can manage customer profile data. I don't want to spend $39.95/month just to see if it is available.

No that is not a feature.

Wish I had looked into what it can and cant do in more detail as there is actually a lot that it cant do.

 

Also, to start with I need to get it to do what it says it 'will' do - it is not working good at present with not all functions working

In iWHMCS

We have faced the same issue with the perms as described by another user above. Tried on multiple phones ...the version 1.0 sticks and is having problems updating to 1.0.1. If we remove it entirely and reinstall, the version is still 1.0. Is the repository up to date?

Is there a reason why this won't download to my iPod Touch, I don't have an iPhone.

 

I submitted a ticket to Matt and he said they are changing it in the next update to work with iPod Touch as well. He said to expect 2-3 days.

 

We have faced the same issue with the perms as described by another user above. Tried on multiple phones ...the version 1.0 sticks and is having problems updating to 1.0.1. If we remove it entirely and reinstall, the version is still 1.0. Is the repository up to date?

 

It works for me. I don't think Matt updated the version on the "About" screen since its such a minor update. But you will see in the app store its listed as 1.0.1.

Really, what can you accomplish on the iphone? Spend a half in hour going through tickets you can handle and then try to resolve the clients issue all while remaining in the iwhmcs app? I think the whmcs and kayako apps for doing tickets and billing work over the phone are completely useless. Why try and do work on your phone when you could do more and in half the time.

 

I don't know about you guys but I'd rather put $40 aside to hire a tech who can handle billing issues on his computer

This is what I use it for:

1. Approving orders in a more timely manner if I am traveling or don't have access to a computer. If I am at an airport I don't have to dig out my laptop.

2. Easily checking to see if staff are online when they should be.

3. Reviewing tickets to see if there is anything urgent while I don't have access to a computer.

 

$40 doesn't get me anywhere paying a tech to do work. About 4 hours of work.

 

I saw a few people request predefined replies which is something I would like to see as well. Be easy to reply to tickets that need a canned response.
