WHMCS support is great. Especially since most of the problems people have are their own fault. Seeing as they usually go above an beyond the call of duty, it's reasonable that you don't get an instant answer.

Why doesn't the demo display the new 5.0 default theme? Then in the Admin area the General Config is disabled so we can't activate it and preview... Will there be a 'dark' version of it? I.E. white text on black instead of black text on white? Also, is there a backlog of update requests? Should we hold off our orders until you guys can catch up?

In reference to USA based PayPal merchants. I already know that Website Payments Standard CAN process one time payments without the buyer having a PayPal account. 1. BUT with a Website Payments Standard account, can WHMCS recurring payments/subscriptions be created WITHOUT the buyer having a PayPal account? 2. If NOT then does WHMCS enable Website Payments Pro to make recurring payments/subscriptions via (avoiding paying an extra $30/mo for enabling that feature through paypal)? 3. To use Website Payments Pro and create recurring payments/subscriptions do I need an SSL cert or some other form of PCI compliance? How can these subscriptions be occurring without storing the CVV/CVC? Thanks.

I know WHMCS is capable of these things - my question is if it's capable when using PayPal Website Payments Pro. For example with Website Payments Standard, the CC information is entered on a PayPal screen so YOU as the host never have to worry about keeping that information safe. However with Website Payments Pro, the CC info is entered on YOUR site, not on PayPal's secured site - and if you're trying to use reoccuring billing then you're going to need to save that CVC somehow, correct? So wouldn't that mean your site would need an SSL or some sort of PCI compliance? Does anyone here actually use Website Payments Pro with WHMCS? If so can this person tell me how they're set up?

With WHMCS, does reoccurring billing work? Outside of WHMCS, can I manually process phone orders? Lastly, is there some PCI compliance I need to meet with and SSL cert or something? Anyone using this for reoccurring billing, etc, WITHOUT an SSL cert?

So you mean to tell me I can be paying an extra $20/mo for the CIM, and STILL have to worry about this PCI ****? Hell I might as well drop the CIM all together, store the cards on my own server and focus on PCI alone.

So, is this 'VirtualMerchant' gateway cheaper than Auth.net? I can't seem to find anyone other than Elavon who offers a merchant account with this gateway. Who should I use?

Do you need to meet some sort of 'PCI' compliance, or will it work right out of the box?
