ajaxcart does not display properly in Chrome or Safari
Sophia replied to michael_s's topic in Using WHMCS
That sorted it for me too, THANKS for posting the solution, jpkelly! -
I was looking for a thread raving about 4.5... didn't find one. So here is my own I have used WHMCS for about 3 years now, and always been impressed with the updates, improvements, features and support. But Matt & Co, this time you have really outdone yourselves - version 4.5 is the Icing on the Cake, the Cream of the Cup, the.... well you get me Love all the new features and improvements, excellent job!! /BigThumbsUp

Thanks othello I did alter one of them and it went well, so being a proper NERD, I think I'll risk it :)

I have two questions: - If I go into the database and manually change the ID of a product from say 31 to 3, would I break anything? - At one point in the distant past, when I was still "playing" with WHMCS, I created (too) many products. Even though I deleted them, WHMCS continues the count. Now, when I create a new one, it gets an id well into the 30's or so. Is there a way to start the counter at the "next" number, which should be around 5 or 6? Thanks I'm only being a neat buff, that's all.

Juanzo, confirmed as well... though the "default" Ajax Cart template does not behave that way at all. -

Yes, confirmed. I use Chrome and the shopping cart stays at the top at all times. -
I agree, that would be a wonderful feature.

Just bought the plugin, WOW! Very very nice integration! I tried LiveZilla, Zopim and Olark, loved them all especially Olark, but the Live Chat integration is just out of this world. I have only a few tiny minor gripes: - If you walk away from your computer and chat request comes in, it is easy to miss it It would be very helpful if the pop up could be made to stay (Livezilla has it). I know it is possible to do the same with the ringer, but that would drive us both crazy... - When the Windows client goes into "Away" mode, it does not automatically become "online" again. It is easy to forget to manually set it, but can that be made automatic? - And, finally, I want another avatar than the handful of Windows icons Apart from that, kudos!! Very happy we purchased it! PS A few future requests: - Is it possible to add some automatic responses if the waiting time is longer than a few minutes? Most people would rather be treated friendly by a robot than be flatly ignored for 10 minutes - it would be awesome if there could be an integration with the Knowledgebase (not likely, I know, but one can dream).

I had the same issue: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=34463 Hope this solves the problem for you as well -
I guess a work around is to let people upgrade to another plan, changing the billing cycle in the process, then immediately downgrade again to their original plan. But I agree with most here, I'd really appreciate if it could be implemented, it seems a logical addition. I hardly ever get customers who want to switch to a monthly cycle from yearly. Usually, after three months or so they get tired of that and want to change to a yearly plan. Please consider it, WHMCS, I can't imagine it would be hard to implement

Can't edit my post anymore, but wanted to add: That said, it's not funny you have had a different experience, and I'm sure WHMCS will appreciate the feedback (just so I don't ruffle feathers) ;

I have had fantastic support from WHMCS. Once due to my own stupid mistake I had to contact them urgently on a Sunday, and Matt was perfectly friendly and willing to help. This was very recently, so any rumors of their support going down the drain are highly exaggerated... I'd say almost slander. But that is my experience... I do find them friendly and helpful.

Yes, NetEarth One is fantastic... they offer the exact same features/panel as ResellerClub but they are infinitely more personal and friendlier. I used Enom as well, but as mentioned they nickel and dime too much, and they are not at all that cheap to start with. In all truth I like Enom's site better, but you can't have it all... NEO takes a bit of getting used to but it works great with WHMCS, which is the main thing.

I'm very interested in this module! If I purchase the licence, how much is the yearly upkeep? Thanks -
Online Support with WHMCS (maybe a good solution)
Sophia replied to lahost's topic in Third Party Add-ons
I have grown very fond of Olark. I find it better than Zopim, actually... it plays nice with secure pages and offers more features. Granted, it is not quite as versatile as LiveZilla, but I love the fact you can provide support on just about any device. It seemlessly ties in with any chat program instead of having to install a client. Once LiveZilla offers Gtalk/Pidgin etc, I might switch back... but it doesn't look like that will be very soon yet -
I believe thousands of people bought this mod (me included)... I have not read any complaints here yet. In fact the author is very helpful. Actually I was under the impression that once a mod is licenced, it won't check anymore... but I could very well be wrong. Nice discussion, thanks for asking. I guess the author of those mods will be able to provide the ultimate answer

Thanks Damo, problem is I only found out about it by sheer accident. They signed UP twice with a different IP address (from different countries which they indicated correctly, and Maxmind let them through in both cases). There would have been no way of telling that way. Lord knows how many times over they did sign up... I don't really keep track of all visitors. But, then they signed IN twice in a row with the new IP address, judging from the latest client activity, which at least enabled us to connect two bogus accounts! I'm not sure how to prevent that yet, except perhaps make prospective customers answer a few questions before actually creating their trial account.

We offer a one week trial, which works well... it certainly helps sales. However I learned that "some" IP addresses keep popping up time and again, with slightly different names/addresses/e-mail addresses. I have no idea why people would want to keep registering for a self-destructing account, and it doesn't really effect the rest, but it just puzzles me. Is this common, or just a weirdo with too much time on their hand? And, I guess this is my actual question, is there an easy way to check on duplicate IP signups in WHMCS? Thanks
-
Open the file end_free_trials_hook.php and look at lines 28 to 33. I think you'll find your answer there. I'd still like an answer to my question please... can I just delete the lines that mention the second and third reminder without breaking stuff? Thanks
-
You just need to edit the file itself, don't upload it the way it is or you may find half your accounts terminated tomorrow
-
Awesome mod Is it possible to change the numbers of reminder mails to just one notice instead of 3? I offer a one week trial plan and 3 warnings is a bit much... 1 would do. The rest of the mod is perfect, thanks!

Thanks... I'm testing on a different page though, try /comparetest.php I'll use your tip to convert to GB, good stuff, and thanks for the Facebook warning
