meltdown
I'm trying to create a custom product that offers: Website + Domain + 1 Year Hosting The web hosting and domain should be an annual cost starting one year after the initial order. I've got everything in place (I thought), including the free domain registration/transfer (renew as normal) but on checkout the only recurring item is the annual payment for the domain, not the web host. How can I create a senario where it, too, will be an annual cost? Thank you!
othellotech
for the site/template/design thats once off, use *setup* fee the plan they should order is the hosting one which if setup with recurring pricing will do what you want edit your tpl so when selecting that package they only get the register domain option on step2 untick the plan includes a domain name on the product
meltdown
Thank you for your reply. I was able to successfully do what I wanted using a combination of product and addons. However, when I duplicated it and made minor adjustments for the next option the sub-total is now off and I can't see why I've indicated with arrows what I'm referring to. Tax is in included in the price. The only item being paid for in this purchase is the ADDON PHP Website Creation at 378.50. The sub-total should be the same. How can the sub-total be lower than the actual price? Thanks for any comments
HerrZ
The sub-total should be the same if tax is inclusive and tax is 20%, then subtotal should be 80% of Addon price = lower. anyway 365.42 is wrong ;( + please check your tpl values {$subtotal} and {$total} + is there a setup fee for addon? + is the addon taxed?

Geez...You're right, subtotal should be 20% less, meaning the original from which this is duplicated is not, in fact, correct. Addon is taxed. There is no setup fee. Billing is set to one-time. Would you be so kind as to explain what you mean by checking my tpl values {$subtotal} and {$total}? Thank you!
HerrZ
please make a screenshot with ONLY the addon in cart view.
meltdown
please make a screenshot with ONLY the addon in cart view. Hmmm... I can't seem to create a scenario where only the addon is in the cart. If I remove the item to which it is assciated, it goes waway as well...
HerrZ
for only addon in cart 1. login with a client account (wich owns hosting product) 2. cart.php 3. category addons ...
meltdown
for only addon in cart1. login with a client account (wich owns hosting product) 2. cart.php 3. category addons ... I've eliminated the addon completely because there seems to be a global issue with tax calculation. If you visit this site and insert a hosting plan into your cart, at checkout you'll see that the math is incorrect Adding a domain to cart is fine, as well, as Enom is also in test mode. (FYI: Tax rate is 20% here but I've changed it to 10% for simplified testing)
meltdown
...or the math is correct but is based on an incorrect subtotal
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 4, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 4, 2009 Please ensure all setup fees are 0.00. -1.00 doesn't disable a setup fee, it just subtracts from the subtotal.

That's a great tip - Indeed I had a sea of -1.00 in the setup fee areas. And I hate to say it for fear of a jinx, but I do believe that took care of my problem - Thank you!!
meltdown
Is this really correct? Hosting Plans - Basic Hosting Plan (xyzzzzzzz.com)€6.95 Domain Registration - xyzzzzzzz.com - 1 Year/s €12.95 Subtotal: €16.58 IVA (Value Added Tax) @ 20.00%: €3.32 Total Due Today: €19.90 Total Recurring: €6.95 Monthly €12.95 Annually Tax is set to inclusive. What's throwing me is that the order total, 19.90 x 20% = 3.98 Geez my head hurts...
