tommieb
Everything was fine yesterday. Today I believe that I was in there early this morning but after taking care of a couple of issues: 1) wrong email address for my account with whmcs and 2) upgrading to v 4.1.2, I tried logging in and could not. I am using the password that I wrote down so I am pretty sure it was correct. Basically, my IP keeps getting banned and then I have to wait 15 minutes to try again or I have to go into the database and change the bannedip entry and the attempted logins in the admin table. I tried changing the password using a query but of course it was not encrypted so it does not appear that this worked well. Next I went on line and encrypted the password using an MD5 Hash and updated the admin password with this encrypted password. It still did not work. I am completely lost as to what I am supposed to do or what I could have possibly done wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 2, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 2, 2009 When changing your admin password via phpmyadmin just enter it as normal, then select MD5 from the Function dropdown to encrypt it.
