Inetbiz
The guide @ http://wiki.whmcs.com/Configurable_Package_Addon could really use some TLC on step 8. Screen shots would be nice. I THOUGHT when I bought this that they could enter their own amount of disk space and multiply by a quantifier! Now I don't know if I have to select drop down or quantify!!!
Inetbiz
PLEASE update configurable options for a larger decimal point fraction in this product so that QTY box can be used. (IE 1x100000 x .0034)
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 24, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 24, 2009 It's just a case of creating configurable options, which is covered in more detail elsewhere in our documentation: http://wiki.whmcs.com/Addons_and_Configurable_Options Using the quantity configurable option will work fine.
Inetbiz
It's just a case of creating configurable options, which is covered in more detail elsewhere in our documentation: http://wiki.whmcs.com /Addons_and_Configurable_Options Using the quantity configurable option will work fine. No it will not work fine. To get reasonable bandwidth fees, the price needs to extend sometimes 4 decimal places. Your code rounds up to the hundredths place. Smarty templates should also be updated to include "update price" instead of only showing add to cart or at the very least, use a programming method to keep the total updated based on configurable options. You do not go into detail on step 8 nor even refer to your link in that wiki page. I don't see a full api use here? What about the rest of the product definition for reseller attributes of that cpanel package? There are also feature list. I might charge more for rails addition or a feature set that provides fantastico. AND, this nullifies the ability to do overage billing. This add-on I paid for should cover those variables so that I can populate how much to charge for overages. When the package is created in WHM, a unique identifier should be appended for easy reference. Possibly the PID. I just expected a LOT more from this having just paid so much money.
Inetbiz
I'd also like to see a paid revision update that would include qty calculations on add-on upgrades to existing non-custom packages. (Customer wants to order an additional 234MB) that will modify their quota limit, overage soft limits.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 25, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 25, 2009 OK, I've added the link to the configurable options article to the addon page.
Inetbiz
OK, I've added the link to the configurable options article to the addon page. I hope you take into account some of my other feature requests. Mainly decimal places in config option prices, soft quota overbill then the feature sets.
