Considering moving to WHMCS

bluesteam

Question

Hi,

I am seriously considering moving over to WHMCS. I am currently using ClientExec and am having alot of issues with the integrity of the billing information and when the users are getting sent invoices.

My 3 questions are the following:

1. One of the limitations that I have found in a lot of different billing systems is the fact that if a client simply wants to add a domain registration on to his/her account without having to register a whole new hosting package, is this option easily available in WHMCS?

2. In my country we have a registrar that still lives in the dark ages when it comes to domain registrations. Their registrations are simply based on an email import that has a robot that reads in parameters from a text email and registers the domain. Can I create a new registrar method within WHMCS and set the email to be sent out after the account is made active based on the clients information?

3. When importing the data from ClientExec to WHMCS, does this also import all the historical data of the invoices for clients? this is very important for my tax purposes and auditing information.

I am really hoping that these features are available as I really want to move away from ClientExec

Regards

Hi,

You're in luck - answers below:

1. Yes, domain registration only is an option directly on the cart - have a look at the demo order form @ http://demo.whmcs.com/cart.php and you'll see it top right

2. Yes, you can create your own module for that, and even better a sample email module is included so you'd just need to customise the email message format to be as your registrar requires

3. Yes, all existing products and invoices are imported from the CE system.
