deltrumweb
I have just installed the 15 day trial after a long break from hosting and have everything installed correctly. The problem is that I am testing the support desk to make sure email are being received and they are not ! I have raised about five tickets and no emails have been received. No emails are being held on the server so the problem must be whmcs config problems. I am Admin and am assigned to all support depts. In General Settings>Mail, the email addresses are setup using phpmail with the email address for support and presales entered. The cron job is setup and also, the forwarding for piping pop emails into whmcs. What am I doing wrong ! What else needs to be checked ? Thanks BTW, I have cpanel on the main server with configserver firewall installed however, this should not make any difference as emails are coming in on the correct ports ?

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 16, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 16, 2009 Make sure you aren't trying to submit tickets from an administrator's email address, as that won't work. Check Utilities > Mail Import Log to see what's going on with the emails.

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 16, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 16, 2009 No wonder you're getting email message loops. Opening a ticket sends a notification email to the admin, but as that's also your support department it's going straight in as a response, which sends another automatic email....ad infinitum.

deltrumweb
Email received to support email hosting@ from yahoo address but not logged as a ticket in whmcs....this is a piping issue. Piping not working.... I have added for hosting@ & support@ to pipe to |/home/***/public_html/client/pipe/pipe.php in cpanel forwarders. The email is being received at the address but no ticket being raised.
