WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 4, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 4, 2009 What do you mean by "the email that its about to renew their domain"? The Upcoming Domain Renewal Notice email template? If yes, what are your Domain Reminder Settings and Invoice Generation setting in in Setup > Automation Settings?
othellotech
some actually get their invoices.. but some doesnt.. what is the problem ? Did the user select "do not renew" in their client area ? Are the domain expiry/next-due dates correct ?
Shath
Hmm, all my customers have a "next due date", but even tho they dont get invoices, however theres nothing in the "Expiry Date". and yes John, they get a email notification saying thats its 60 days left and they should go and pay for it. The domain settings are like this : First Renewal Notice 60, Second Renewal Notice 30, Third Renewal Notice 15, Fourth Renewal Notice 7, Fifth Renewal Notice 1. Invoice Generation is set to 14 days, but that is for mainly the hosting package right ? when i look to some of my customers, one of my customers has a due date on 18/12/2008, and the domain invocie was generated 24/10/2009. However when i look at some other customers (both active) who have next due date 01/12/2009, but where the invoice havent been generated yet, even tho that cusstomer has got the renewal reminder email. =(
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 5, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 5, 2009 The domain renewal invoice will be generated based on the Invoice Generation setting. So the client with the next due date of 01/12/2009 won't have the invoice generated until 17th of November.

Shath
Whats the meaning of having template emails sent out 60 days before domain renewal, saying that u shud pay now 60 days before if we must set invoice to 60 days before, that means that people who pay monthly for their webhost must pay 2 months earlier ? thats crazy
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted November 9, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted November 9, 2009 Domains can be renewed at any time, and this will add an extra year to the expiry date. If the domain is manually renewed then an invoice won't be generated when it approaches the next due date.
