gwhosting
hi; I'm getting ready to use whmcs for my home page, however, i have one major question. Right now i have whmcs in /home/username/public_html/whmcs i want to move it to /home/username/public_html/ so it comes up when my site is loaded. I have root sash access to the server, so, i'm sure it's something stupid could someone however let me know what to type?
sparky
ssh access is not needed FTP to your account copy everything in your public_html/whmcs folder to public_html edit configuration.php to change the correct paths eg.. $templates_compiledir path reissue your whmcs license go to admin -> General Settings to correct the urls
redrat
While you are doing that, it might be a good time for you make some security adjustments as per this advisory so that you get everything done and dusted at the same time before going live. Best wishes.
gwhosting
hi; sorry, i should have typed this better. How would i do this via ssh? I am on limited bandwith, and would rather move the files if possible on the server. Any ideas on that one? thanks

WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted October 23, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted October 23, 2009 hi;sorry, i should have typed this better. How would i do this via ssh? I am on limited bandwith, and would rather move the files if possible on the server. Any ideas on that one? thanks You don't need SSH, your FTP client should be able to move the files on the server without the need to download/upload. Filezilla certainly can.
