Hello,

The new WHMCS ver.4.1 brings the new feature to add a "Client File" through the admin section. Nevertheless, I can not find where/how the client is able to access the same files. I've browse trough all the client area without being able to detect them. Am I just missing it?

Thanks for your help,

Marcelo

Thank you for responding Sparky, but could you be more specific in your anwser?

I'm attaching a screenshot of the home page for a client I have put a file for his download. I'm also attaching the results from the page "downloads"; which shows nothing.

Make sure that you have attached a file to the client account

Click on clientarea, log in and look at the bottom of the page

If you can't see it then upload the latest clientareahome.tpl file to your template

I can see it now. Thanks. I was using an older .tpl.

I'm new to this and tried to add to the client download area. I've added to the Announcements, and knowagebase with no problem everything is viewable but the Download when I click on the link in the client section it takes me to the 404 page. I checked to make sure that the file download.php is their.

I'm using 3.5.1 Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

  • WHMCS Support Manager

General downloads are available under the support tab (which I assume is what the OP is referring to) in 3.5.1. When you click the download link, is it taking you to download.php ?

But I would strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version, there have been several security additions since 3.5.1.
