kingabs
can we manually transfer customers from 1 whmcs system to another by entering their details in manually and paypal subscription ID's?
tbenoit
Well.... yes (on the manually adding clients). However, the PayPal subscriptions are set to go to the current WHMCS' installation, so the one you want to transfer to will not get the PayPal callback with the subscription payment notification.
kingabs
Ok cool thanks for clearing that up. Lets say i decide to move my database over to a new domain and your saying i wont get the paypal notification of payment ect on the new domain as it the notifucation from paypal is tied into account ordered on the old domain. tbenoit
Unless I'm seriously mistaken (which is entirely possible)...yes. You will not receive the PayPal notifications for the current subscriptions because they are going to the other domain.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 31, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 31, 2009 tbenoit is correct. We do have a callback redirect script that seems to work quite well. You upload it to the location of your old callback script and it redirects to the new location. Open a ticket if you're interested.
kingabs
oh no i have already closed down my old hosting providers account. Oh well looks like for those 80-90 customers we will have to check manually. Mike
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted August 31, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted August 31, 2009 In that case you'll need to cancel the affected subscriptions and then create new ones when the next invoice is generated.
