@matt

sorry if this not exactly a feedback, but rather a very little feature request to add "mass bulk delete" on to-do list. i'm tired deleting all of them by clicking one by one, i have hundreds of to-do list which just stack up because i'm too lazy to click all of them manually. thanks

Yep, he knows about this already. I complained about this a few montgs ago. The solution was to truncate the db. Well, that's becoming a pain in the ass too.

I suggested adding a toggle switch to deactivate this todo list. For some business models it's completely useless and a time waister.

yes, i know we can modifying db directly but 'd rather use my time to better manage my sales & servers instead of just clicking it. agreed it should have some toggle switch as i don't need the feature also.

I'd also like to see a more comprehensive module for Cloudmin which supports System Owners and packages instead of just simply creating a virtual machine. Based on how Cloudmin works, it should just allocate resources to a client's account and email the client their login details, then in the Cloudmin control panel, they can choose exactly what virtualization they want and how much of their purchased resources they want to allocate to their first virtual machine.

You need to step out the box for this one a bit, because Cloudmin does things very differently to say, what HyperVM used to do. All it needs to handle is System Owners, really - it doesn't even need to bother with VM creation, choosing a distro or anything like that.

We are excited as well for the upgrade, Many incredibly useful features have been added and without the dev tracker, they came as a surprise, I feel like it's almost my Birthday.

Anyone utilizing the Beta yet? Has the upgrade gone smooth? Alot of template file changes?

the upgrade was easy, however we have run in to more than a small problem:

when we upgraded to 4.10 beta, our system stopped sending out emails to the client once that order was marked "Active".

No idea why.

Matt wanted to login to our system and troubleshoot, but customers complained of privacy issues of a party no working for our company having access, particularly because we offer privacy services...

So what we have to do is download a trial, set it up, and hope that the problem can be replicated and fixed.

Basically, when we go to "Manage Orders" and click "Accept Order", it does not send our "Service has been activated" email from the templates as it always had before. I even ticked and then unticked the "Tick this box to disable this email from being sent" in the templates in the case that the flag had been corrupted.

We can send out the "Service has been activated" email manually, and all other out going emails appear to work fine.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Sorry but what has it to do with your client how you vet to work on getting this to work how is running the script you or your client's and if you turn down the best person to fix this how do you think others would of got it sorted out. Would they not of just let Matt have a look and I bet you Matt would have fix it in about 30 mins of looking over your installation.

I understand exactly what you mean...

But heres the deal simply put:

We run a VPN service.

We have an agreement with our customer that there will be 100% privacy, no logs even.

Some of our customers are from other countries; some of them are even trying to remove themselves from their country's oppression.

The only reason we use 3rd party software (whmcs) is because it operates separate from the actual VPN tunnel.

Maybe they have reason to be paranoid. That is not for me to judge. Maybe we have reason to be paranoid; it is our responsibility to consider their needs in terms of our agreement.

If they are not pleased, they exercise their right to not use our service.

Now,

we can deceive them, but if ( >IF< ) something goes wrong...

and...

we can deceive them, but would we deserve the business?

This is not to say anything bad at all about Matt, after all, the developer could do almost anything they want with an encoded system, so there is a huge degree of trust here, but while access to the whmcs backoffice/control panel (including our todo list!) might be ok with me, it is just not ok with everyone.

In any case, we're working on satisfying everyone as best we can.

It perhaps wasn't very worthwhile installing the beta to help look for problems if you weren't going to be able to let us investigate if you found one! However, this isn't caused by any bug so you should be able to resolve it by checking your config.

actually, it was down-right stupid of me.

on the GOOD side, it appears we have major confidence in your programming

on the not-so-GOOD side, I agree with you.

(why does the forum blank out the word GOOD for me unless I post it capitalized?)

that is why we are following your advise about using the trial.

we completely ignored murphy's law - actually, it was me and there are some (admin) people over here not so happy with ME making extra work for them.

live and learn.

At least the emails can be sent out manually until this is fixed.

You said "configuration" problem.

how is that?

I didn't change anything. I just performed the upgrade. That is all. Don't know where to start...

And the customers found out that the software manufacturer wanted to login how? If you didn't want him to look at your system that is one thing but to blame it on your customers definitely seems odd at best.

What's strange is, is the fact that I have a free (webhosting)-license, but that had already expired and I've renewed my subscription to get the latest updates&support, but still I cannot download the beta... That's just a shame:( I get it that you want some exclusive features for those paying users, but I think I can add myself to that group?:o

looks like he either told them, or they are on whmcs and found out that way.

Matt, i know your are a perfectionist when it comes to new releases, but can you give me any update on when this will be released?

Shouldn't be a long time to wait...

There is one month plus 2 days since the beta release...

100% privacy and NO LOGS, well without logs how do you know what your clients are doing and when they log on etc.

you need logs to make sure your clients are following your TOS etc correctly and if they dispute anything you can say we have logs showing you logged on at **** on *** etc.

Hi, I love the new upgrade roun smooth since now, my question, is possible to integrate some ajax or javascript to the description of the custom fields, sometimes takes more than a few characters to give a hint to the customers, thanks in advance.
