maknet
Hi there, I'm trying to setup multi-currency payments for my clients. I was wondering: 1) How do you handle multiple mailing addresses for manual checks? Or can you? 2) How do you handle a $CAD and $USD merchant accounts from the same provider (ie Psigate), or you can't? From what i can tell, you can't setup more than one form of "payment type". So how can i let my clients pay for whichever currency? Or is it setup so that it's $100 USD, but if you want to pay $CAD, it auto-converts to $1.10 and it charges that? Thanks! WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted July 22, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted July 22, 2009 It's not possible to use a specific gateway only with a specific currency. This is what the Convert To For Processing feature is for. So even if your gateway only supports CAD your client can still be invoiced in USD as it will be converted to CAD invisibly to the client (gateway dependant).
maknet
It's not possible to use a specific gateway only with a specific currency. This is what the Convert To For Processing feature is for. So even if your gateway only supports CAD your client can still be invoiced in USD as it will be converted to CAD invisibly to the client (gateway dependant). So, i guess it's not really fully multi-currency compatible? Would this mean: 1) the gateway is setup for $USD funds - the client has hosting for $100 USD - The will be charged $100 USD. 2) if instead, the gateway is setup for $CAD funds - the hosting costs $100 USD - THe will be charged like $110 CAD? So how do most people handle this? Or you pretty much just charge in USD and it converts if needed? Or do people have 2 sets of payment gateways setup? (And if so, can i have 2 x psigates or 2 x paypal?) Lawrence
mrl14
That is the problem with a lot of this billing software. We need to be able to redirect a currency to a specific gateway. I was told it can be done in the template files as a customisation.
maknet
Still playing around with ours (4 months subscription and still not online).. We paid for another currency of the PsiGate payment module. No idea if it works yet. Yes, i believe you need a different payment gateway for each currency.
