Affiliate Payments For Domains

I've done a quick search to check but couldn't see anything on it. Is it possible to have affiliate payments for domain registrations?

I can easily do it for hosting, and it works well, but can't see how to do it for domains at all.

I don't see the point in respect of domains due to the low margins involved. The cost of affiliate advertising space doesn't justify it. Besides, the best way to increase domain sales profitably is to market domain reseller accounts.

There may, however, be some merit in the notion that domain purchasers are good prospects for buying web space and other domain/hosting related services so hosting the domain initially could be advantageous.

That said, though a lot of work for Matt and his team, the ability to extend the functionality of the whole affiliate mechanism in WHMCS to facilitate per product configuration has long been requested and is eagerly awaited, by designers and developers in particular I imagine. Other high value products and services are also of the essence in requesting this.

Therefore, +1 from me. ;)

That's already possible and always has been. On a per product basis you can set as a one time or recurring commission, percentage rate or fixed amount payout rate.
