markb1439
Has anyone else had issues with eNom name servers (I mean the ones you assign yourself in their control panel). We've had repeated issues, including one that's happening now. We had e-mails not being delivered properly, which we tracked to name servers not resolving properly. When I try to check our name servers in eNom's interface, it throws an error message like, "You must enter a name server to check" (even though I did). I decided to delete and re-enter the name servers, but the delete operation failed: "could not find root domain". I've put in a ticket...eNom was able to duplicate my issues, and they escalated. But it's been about 20 hours since I've heard anything. I've had similar issues in the past...I'm just wondering if this is typical of eNom? Would I possibly have better luck elsewhere?
cyberneticos
Yep ! We got around the error using WHMCS API
markb1439
Mmm, that won't solve it. The problem is that eNom's architecture is acting up. However the nameservers were assigned, they are not resolving properly. It's very disconcerting that a company whose specialty is domain names would have an issue like this...along with such slow response time. BTW, the affected domains were registered directly with eNom, not through WHMCS. Is there any way to import such domains into WHMCS?

Give this a try (scroll down a bit): http://wiki.whmcs.com/Importing_Data#Manual_Existing_Domain_Entry
markb1439
Thanks. I have seen those instructions, however I am actually not looking to renew or extend the domains...just move them under WHMCS control. If I read this right, this will accomplish this...right?
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted June 29, 2009 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted June 29, 2009 Those instructions won't renew the domains, just add them to WHMCS.
