openmind
I've done this on a couple of other forums and it's always had a good response, plus I'm a nosy bugger!! Basically get up from your computer right now and take a picture of your work area with your camera and phone. Don't cheat and rush round tidying up, this is a snapshot of your working life... To kick things off, here's mine... http://www.openmindhosting.co.uk/officelatest.jpg

Oh cmon, get a grip on reality please, it's a bit of fun! What about all those pics of data centres, bet the local burglars are rubbing their hands in glee... Google earth pictures of the front of your house... For the record I have a very secure office and did you not notice the vivariumon the right? It contains a reptile with no legs long enough to scare the **** out of most people...
iRageInternetLtd
To be fair, your office, should be as much "fun" as possible - it should also be a place by what is familiar to you.

Their was a similar topic on one of the other forums last year, which being proud of our office we added a pic, then 48 hours later our office was broken into and all our equipment either stolen or smashed. The conclustion of the police was that as our website contained our address then showing the pic of our office it was easy for the burglar to get our address and with a pic of our office it was easy for them, and what a job we had getting the insurance to payout as we gave our address on our website and then publically placed a pic of our office on a public forum.
openmind
Um OK so do you think the fact my house is on Google maps is also at risk???
easyhosting
Um OK so do you think the fact my house is on Google maps is also at risk??? I am not a fan of Google Earth and less of a fan of the new street level view. These are just ways of spying on you.
chickendippers
Why shouldn't Google publish pictures of public spaces?
openmind
Because it might encourage burglars to come round and rob your house
chickendippers
But surely standing outside your house and looking at it would have exactly the same effect?

bear
Should we start passing out the little tinfoil hats? The little ones don't stop the alien beams well enough. It has to cover your head as well as anyone near you to be affective.
