KennyD
I am trying to setup a 'hosting only' option. Basically I have a regular 1 year plan for $79.99 which includes the domain reg. I want to setup another option if they already own a domain and knock $10 off. When an order goes through, it is still for $69.99 + $10 domain. Domain: walkerstudiopro.com First Payment Amount: $69.99 Recurring Amount: $69.99 Billing Cycle: Annually Domain Registration: Register Domain: walkerstudiopro.com First Payment Amount: $10.00 Recurring Amount: $10.00 Registration Period: 1 Year/s Is there some way to get rid of the domain reg attached to the product? It is a separate product from the regular 1 year product.
FazeWire Web Services
When they order the product, they should be presented with three options: I want your host to register a new domain for me. I want to transfer my domain to your host. I will update my nameservers on an existing domain Or I will register a new domain. Make sure they choose the last one, and they will not be charged for it.

I have the same question, and have made separate "hosting only" packages because it doesn't work that way. FazeWire, just to make sure before posting I tried the 3rd option again, it charges the full price. Unless there is an option in the control panel that we are missing
KennyD
Hey, I might be totally missing out on something here, but my order interface has been totally custom done. I've been seeing traces of the potential to have WHMCS take care of the ordering, but I have no idea where to start with that. I setup the products and my programmer has been making the order process.
KennyD
Can anyone shed some light on this? I am constantly having to refund $10 to customers with an existing domain.
RandyC
I am assuming that you have the $10 part of the actual package price where you should actually should remove it from the hosting package and then set the price for the actual registration in the domain registration option page.

Not if you config your package in Setup>Products/Services>Free Domain tab and pick the 2nd option: "Offer a free domain registration/transfer only (renew as normal)" or 3rd option: "Offer a free domain registration/transfer and free renewal (if product is renewed)" And the customer in the order process picks to: "update my nameservers on an existing domain" Or "I will register a new domain." The system differentiates between hosting and registration products vs hosting only products when they decide to get a new domain, transfer existing or maintain their own registration. Further, we need to be able to offer the domain for less when included in the hosting package vs hosting only.
