Blank after upgrade?

Not necessarily.

Expanding on that, he means if you have suPHP installed, you will not need to chmod. Although, it would make no difference 'chmod 0755' with or without suPHP because it is only a cache dir and does not need to be directly accessed by a web browser.

I had the same problem when I initially upgraded. If you have a custom name for the admin folder, then you need to make sure you've put it in the configuration.php file.

$customadminpath = "FOLDER_NAME";

I'm also experiencing this problem all other pages are fine, part from the admin pages is blank. Any ideas ?

I don't know how I fixed it, but i follow this steps:

1 - backup files and database

2 - delete all files

3 - download to serve the whmcs_v400.zip file

4 - expand the zip and move to root dir

5 - open configuration.php in windows and save it in UTF-8 and UNIX format

6 - set chmod 777 to templates_c

7 - voila!

  • 4 months later...

I had the same prob and I finally executed a part of docilweb's solution. Just downloaded the _v401.zip, unpacked it and uploaded the whole admin folder (deleted old folder before). That's it!

Opens again with dthe default page and as I used a custom template I just have to aplly the formating to the new one.

I backed up the files before, server is suEXEC, so no permission probs at all (in my case of curse). As I used a custom template (to adapt the client area to the outlook of my website design) I kept that unchanged but there may be a different config of the internal linking between the old and the new version of template. (To be verified!)

I will update my post when I find out more.
