Fonix
I have posted the following feedback yesterday, it was deleted today, that was my second post that was deleted during the last day. Posted: Tue Oct 17, 2006 10:27 pm Post subject: Only good feedback is accepted here? Earlier today, Revolution posted a feedback here (Subject was : Horrible!), which was a bad feedback. After reading the feedback I tried to go back to the topic, but I discovered it was deleted. I did not like this at all and I opened a topic regarding this issue. After half an hour my topic was removed as well. The forum says : "Feedback helps us to improve WHMCS. Good or bad, here's the place to leave it." I think it would be better if you could comment the bad feedback instead of just delete the whole topic. As a user I find it very suspicious, specially when all earlier feedbacks are all good feedback. Is it because WHMCS only gets good feedback or is it because you always delete the bad feedback?? Reply from chrishaley: Posted: Tue Oct 17, 2006 10:46 pm As much as I hate to say it, I've been wondering the same thing today..I saw the post early this morning, and went to re-read it earlier this afternoon only to find it missing. I was hoping that Revolution had deleted the post... _________________ Premier Online Internet Hosting Affordable Internet Hosting http://www.premieronline.us Reply from me: Posted: Tue Oct 17, 2006 11:12 pmWell, I was hoping the same, but then Revolution confirmed that he did NOT delete the post. Really disappointing ... Remember that this is not the only forum on the net....
bear
So what was in the first post that was deleted?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted October 18, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted October 18, 2006 Fonix, It's not that the post was bad feedback it was deleted. In fact, it didn't read that bad to me at all. It simply highlighted the fact that a ticket had been opened Friday and automatically closed before I had responded to it. The ticket was relating to a user who had missed their due payment date and subsequently had their license suspended. After reading the post I was able to locate the ticket and respond to it accordingly and then felt the issue was dealt with hence removed the post. I don't believe there were any issues brought by the thread opener except the non-ticket response and the thread had served its purpose to highlight that to us. Maybe I missed something? Steve
After reading the post I was able to locate the ticket and respond to it accordingly and then felt the issue was dealt with hence removed the post. Why didn't you just reply to the post saying the issue had been resolved? That would have been better because the community could see that the issue was resolved, rather than a couple of people noticing a bad feedback post had been deleted.
Fonix
Well, here is a copy of the original post then, you decide your self if it was bad or not ... Posted by Revolution Post subject: Horrible! Posted: Tue Oct 17, 2006 12:14 pm I used to think that the support here was great, but it's horrible. First i waited for my invoice to arrive so that I could pay it or a reminder or something. But nothing was generated. So then i waited up to the day it was due. Still nothing. Nothing in my client area either. Last invoice that was there was from Sept. So I can't pay it even if I wanted to. So then WHMCS suspends my account. I submit my statment to why this is happening. I mean he can clearly look into my account and realize that there was no statement so that I was not lying. So he then sends me a link to pay by Paypal subscriptions on Sunday. I payed. The payment has already been deducted from my account. All day Monday... Mothing. I have submitted several emails or requests but nothing. Then today nothing. My WHMCS is still down. There is lack of responsiblity somewhere here and it is not my fault. How can you suspend someones account if you don't give them any way or medium to pay with? And then when you do, and they pay promtly when it was n't there fault to begin with, why don't you help them by reinstating their account right away? If I'm paying for a service, then I should have it. _________________ Revolution Web Solutions, LLC Changing The Way You Connect! Instead of deleting the topic 3 times ...
bear
In my opinion that is a private matter that should have been handled via support ticket only. If it were my board, however, I probably would have closed it with a statement to that effect, not removed it. Matt is free to make any decision he feels is proper....it's his board and product, and I don't hold his decision against him.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted October 18, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted October 18, 2006 Ok, I accept what you're saying. I don't particularly see anything wrong with that post anyway to begin with. The user didn't pay on time, license was suspended, contact was made during a weekend so response time wasn't as quick as usual and then he posted here. It certainly isn't the case that I delete any negative post I see but when a post is referring to an unanswered support ticket once it has been dealt with I do usually remove it. WHMCS CEO Matt Posted October 19, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted October 19, 2006 As I explained in the ticket reply, customers are emailed on the day payment is due if none is received automatically with links to make payment. Make sure sales@whmcs.com is in your email programs allow list to prevent this getting blocked as spam. Matt
