charlier
I have my first client leaving , and they would like to transfer their domain. They are registered through me, and I use enom for my dns registration. Is it simple like them going and unlocking their domain and then using their new interface to transfer? I saw the transfer option in the admin panel, but I'm not exactly sure what I'll need to do there. Anyone walk me through the process? Thanks,
bear
The transfer option is transferring in, AFAIK. To transfer out, they unlock at the registrar, obtain the EPP code, and start the transfer from wherever they are moving to. You have no involvement in the transfer from WHMCS at this point.
pjs32
Hi, When the client does transfer the domain OUT - the domain is still listed within WHMCS -so unless they disable-autorenew then they will still be charged for the renewal if though it is no longer with us! Any way round this? - I know we can remove the domain manaully but it maybe useful for customers to have the option to remove the domains themselves?
othellotech
when you issue the EPP code to them, add a to-do for +10 days to set as cancelled in your system
