nitro
I have noticed a similar error in Firefox when there are no announcements set up. The error I have is due to announcements.xml not having any content at all. However if you create an announcement and set it to not be published, then the announcements.xml contains some code and is valid, even if there are no published items. May be this should be moved to bug reports?

BionHostStan
actually.. could the announcements be expanded to include user (or admin who wrote the announcement), customizable URL, picture, etc.?

MikHo
I also noticed this error : This is what I did to correct the problem: Instead of pressing 'Enter' for a new line I pressed 'SHIFT+Enter' For some reason some 'bad' html code gets in the feed and therefor it returns an error when viewed.
point0fsale
This should be removed if it does not work.
minadreapta
i got this error and managed to repair it. check the source codes of the announcements. from what i remember it has something to do with <p> and </p> tags, or some unclosed tags. after modifying the announcements sources the error disapeared.
point0fsale
No tags and it still does not work.
Vger
Yeah, the RSS Feed is a pretty rubbish add-on. I had to go through every announcement and manually edit all of the so-called "errors" out before it would work. "Errors" include: the use of & n b s p ; - which is difficult to avoid, because if you put two spaces between sentences the second one automatically gets converted to ansi/ascii code. Solution? Only use one space. If you hit the return key twice to give a good spacing between paragraphs then you get an opening and closing para tag with & n b s p ; between them. Solution? Use break tags. The system cannot recognise the ansi/ascii code for the £ symbol, but it insists on using one in place of the actual symbol. The only solution is to use 'UK Pounds' instead fo the symbol.
