Troy
It seems to me like the Ajax in WHMCS causes both IE and Firefox to choke at times. I'm in the system all day long, and I can usually count on it to lock up once or twice per day. It's usually when responding to a ticket that things hang, but not always. Throughout the course of a day, I'll generally use 3-4 different workstations, and every one of them has experienced this problem. Anyone else notice this at all?
bear
Haven't seen this, but I don't use IE at all except for testing code. FF, no problems.
PPH
FF here with no issues either. In and out all day long and would think if there was a problem, it would have surfaced before now
mrprez
It happens to me several times a day. FF on OS X. I have to shut everything down and even restart the computer sometimes. PITA.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 30, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 30, 2008 No problems here either and it's used all day for the support system. What's the definition of "lock up"? I mean what actually hangs - your local computer or your server? Matt
uberhost
I've never had that happen (knock on wood!) and I use Firefox with 32 extensions loaded.
chickendippers
Never experienced it, even when using it on random cluster workstations.
HostOrca
I've never experienced it either on ie windows vista (accasionally ff) Modernbill on the other hand......make a cup of coffee while you wait for the page to load...sorry could not resist
dmhannah
I only have a pause while emails are sent out, goes slower depending on connection I have to internet.
mrprez
What happens is the page shows loading, but never does load. Sits there for as long as I will let it. To get in, I usually have to shut FF down completely and sometime even reboot the computer. Only happens to the WHMCS tab. All other tabs function normally. uberhost
If you're on a fast connection, you may want to set Firefox's cache to zero. Not sure that will fix it, but it's the way I run Firefox, and no problems here with WHMCS.
philip
I'm also having this problem being the WHMCS tab locked up, hang the FF. Sometimes it is forever, sometimes it is just few minutes. I already tried remove all FF extensions, but no luck. It only happen to WHMCS tab(s).

Not on all servers though. I'll try the cache tip and see. John

JasonO
Other than the one time where my firefox turned not responding for about 20 minutes (due to a LOT of other programs running taking CPU + RAM - not WHMCS fault) i've not had any other problems of my browser locking up.
PPH
The only problems we ever have with FF locking up was when running another tab with CraftySyntax live help and getting a lot of visitors. We switched to running it in a separate window and no longer experience problems.
AndyW
We get this too now and then, especially if have multiple tabs loading the same url in admin. Also get it if many tabs are opened simultaneously.
Troy
It most commonly occurs to me as I'm responding to a ticket. I view the ticket, click the Reply tab, enter my response, click "Add Response", and then the browser just sits there. The icon on the IE7 tab is showing animation, indicating the page is posting or loading, but nothing every happens. I can hit ESC and stop the activity, but then no WHMCS URL will load at all, until I shutdown and restart the browser. Is this what happens to others who experience the lockups?
Gears
I've had this happen to me before on my windows version of firefox. However, I believe this to be an issue with firefox and windows. Firefox on my linux box never freezes. I also experienced this issue sometimes with gmail after they updated it.
NH-Andrew
Never seen this problem on Webkit.
Jay
Ahhh, this happens to me too. It just hangs while trying to open a page in WHMCS and then it won't load at all for a while so I have to use an alternate browser. Not sure why that happens but it's happening in Opera for me and occasionally Firefox.
