Domain transfer Registrar default is none after paid and approved

Hi,
After domain name transfer payment is received
and the order has been approved for a domain name transfer,
we still need to go to the client profile in WHMCS
and manually change the registrar from none. to Enom.

(oddly, the domain status shows "Active" which further frustrates the process as our people think it's in process...)

Everything else is set to run automatically, on an active client order, but transfer does not initiate after approval.

Is there a way to set "None" to Enom "automatically"
so that the paid transfer order will auto post to Enom without having to manually set None to Enom?

Not correct, Biswashost. You did not fully read my statement.

I'll state again below:

The complaints here have been that Enom is already set (as you can see in the picture attached below).2022-11-05_16-02-41.png.0039c25370e6787578c02e875af1e26f.png

The  problem..."is that the Registrar is set", but

Hi, your case is not normal. Because if your "Auto Registration" tab has a valid company name like enom/resellerclub etc, then each new order by default will goes to that company. It should not go to "None".  So, you can check where is the problem. Try to use updated version of your WHMCS & all module/hook as updated version as well. We are not facing these kinds of issue, although we are not using enom.

Hi @TheHackRepairGuy

The registrar selected in the Auto Registration field will be used when the automation is triggered by the client's payment of the invoice.

It sounds like you're choosing to skip this automation by accepting the order before payment?

In which case its necessary to tell WHMCS which registrar to use by selecting it from the Registrar dropdown on the Order Details screen and checking "Send to Registrar".

Then click the Accept Order button.

HI,
Sorry, not sure what yo mean by "It sounds like you're choosing to skip this automation by accepting the order before payment?"

  1. Client has had an account setup for 10 years.
  2. Client goes to registration page as usual and chooses to transfer a .com domain.
  3. Client pays after invoice generated.
  4. .com is set to Enom register (as shown in picture above).
  5. I see the transfer order in the Orders -> List all Orders page.
  6. I approve that transfer to ensure it goes through.
  7. Situation. Even though all of the above has been done, a week later, client notices his transfer has not "started",
I view the domain status, which
     shows as "Active".
  8. BUT the registrar dropdown box, which should be auto set as Enom by default (#4 above), is set to "none", as shown below:

Does this help explain things a bit better?

Thanks!

Hi @TheHackRepairGuy,

The transfer is initiated with your registrar immediately after step 3; Enom will be set in the Registrar field once the invoice is marked paid.

If this is not occurring automatically, please see this guide to troubleshoot: https://help.whmcs.com/m/troubleshooting/l/679725-troubleshooting-domain-provisioning-problems#other_registrar_errors
