CrimsonRed
(Re-posted from another community category) Hi all. I am new to the web hosting business but have learned a lot in the past few months. Right now, I'm stuck wondering if my only option to create a customizable hosting website is to use Wordpress and a bridge. I am comfortable with wordpress website design, but I hate having to "Connect" a separate website to send people to. I use the Lagom WHMCS theme and I find it very attractive, but I also wish I could customize more of my site with content. Text, images, and videos. Nothing crazy. Some hosting site designs I really like are:https://www.namehero.com/https://hostarmada.com/ I don't have $10k for a custom development. Should I stick with having a WP site and linking to my WHMCS site? Or is there something I'm missing? Thanks, looking forward to feedback.
DennisHermannsen
I wouldn't use WHMCS Bridge. I messed with it for an hour a few years back and it was one of the most janky pieces of software I've ever touched. Check the reviews of the plugin before deciding: https://wordpress.org/plugins/whmcs-bridge/#reviews
CrimsonRed
Yeahhh... I learned that from experience haha. So what is a better alternative?
DennisHermannsen
I don't know of any alternatives. We just use a custom WP website and then WHMCS installation in a subdirectory.
Biswashost
As you already tested "Lagom" WHMCS theme. So, I suggest you check "Croster & HostX" WHMCS theme. I really love Croster one & currently using for my website.
snake
just a note RE putting whmcs in a subdirectory of WordPRess.... DON'T DO IT. WordPRess sites get attacked daily and because it is so popular there is always vulnerabilities with plugins and themes. If your WordPRess gets compromised, so will WHMCS, and ally our client data. I learnt this the hard way. Keep them in separate cpanel accounts.
