No nameservers are defined for the server this domain is assigned to

Recommended Posts

Hello:

Everything was working well, but with one domain, while accepting an order we get this error:

"No nameservers are defined for the server this domain is assigned to. Please correct and try again."

Activity Log error:

"Domain Transfer Failed Due to Missing Nameservers - Domain ID: XXXXXX - Domain: XXXXXX"

Do you know what's the problem?

What is  WHMCS checking in this time for throwing that error?

Thank you.

Hi @JavierCN,

To resolve the error, please ensure that nameservers are specified in the WHMCS server record, corresponding to the server upon which the hosting service using this domain is to be provisioned.

The nameserver fields for your servers should be specified under Configuration > System Settings > Servers > Edit.

Hi @JavierCN,

Does the Client Account contain a hosting service already, using the same domain, perhaps?

If so, please ensure that server has valid nameservers defined.

If not, please ensure you've defined your nameservers for standalone domain orders in the Configuration > System Settings > General Settings > Domains tab: https://help.whmcs.com/m/system/l/784165-specifying-the-default-nameservers-to-use-when-ordering

Hello John,

The same client have one Hosting and one Server (not Hosting product), the Hosting servers has its nameservers correct in the Servers configure section. The other server has the nameservers ok in its row.

By the way, other client have a server with the same domain as "Hostname", that server is cancelled, do you think this is the problem?

Thank you for your help.

Regards.
