hello there

I am renewing some clients that are completing year with domain and hosting on a company. I noted that WHMCS for Domain Renewal created a very understanding invoice items for a client.

but for hosting WHMCS creates đŸ€Ș

which means my hosting plan name is Basic

So if I want  invoice to display correctly invoice items I need to rename my hosting plan, as Hosting Basic?, hosting plans are all located on group product named Hosting, why duplicated it. I have see a lot of company only uses names for each plan and not uses Hosting name just to improve invoice items description.

Sounds very strange invoice item just saying Basic -domain.com

I would expect something like this

or

If a client has some different types of services with you, better to have a good invoice line description, especially if they do not usually log to their client area.

I think we always added Hosting to the hosting product names when relevant.

the answer to this is the same for a lot of "features" of WHMCS - it's the way it's always been. 🙄

they would need to be updated, but fundamentally the suggestions in the thread below would still add product group names to the line item descriptions..

even though it's 11 years old, the database table structures won't have changed to any degree in that time to invalidate the idea behind the code.
