Showing VAT (TAX) on Order Confirmations

Recommended Posts

Hi Community,

We charge VAT (TAX) to our customers but some of the email templates only show the item cost without any VAT.

For example (as per screenshot) we see a domain registration for £33.00 but there was also VAT on that order adding £6.60.  However, this is not shown.

This further becomes an issue with other order confirmations as the items (say 3 domains) does not total the amount paid.  (i.e. the items don't show any VAT but the total includes the VAT).

Anyone come across a way to make sure VAT charges for items are show on email templates for domain/order confirmations?

Thanks

Brad

It is on the Invoice itself that TAX is to be displayed, as it`s this that is to be used as the accounting document.

I suspect that their issue is that two emails sent at the same time are showing different amounts (one including VAT, and one not).... but WHMCS has always done that I think.

you could use an EmailPreSend hook to change the content, but it might just be simpler to add a disclaimer on the non-invoice emails that any pricing mentioned does not include VAT.
