I've issues with modern cart template , When a client puts a domain name the ajax reload without opening the next step

you have to remember that Modern (and Boxes) were both deprecated 4+ years ago and no longer receive any (significant) updates - it's a legacy template that at some point will no longer be shipped, or even compatible, with newer versions of WHMCS.

if it makes you feel any better, I can slightly reproduce this on my v7.8.3 dev when the default orderform is set to Modern... it too gets stuck where yours does, but if I click continue again twice, it goes to the next step... that doesn't work with your site though.

Is there is no solution for this?

as @lims suggested, abandoning the use of Modern/Boxes, and using standard_cart instead will be the best solution going forward - even if you could fix it today, at some point in the future, Modern is not going to be a viable option, so you might as well abandon it now while you have the choice.

https://secure.subwayhost.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=29&systpl=cloudhub&carttpl=standard_cart

using standard_cart, the order process should work fine.

btw - there's a typo of "Bnadwidth" on your shared & business hosting products.

Thanks for this explanation

so again the modern cart is not working any more with the whmcs 7.8.3 ? Is that right? because it was working fine with our previous installation 7.7.1

Can you please reproduce this modern cart with 7.8.3 dev ? We love to use modern cart over other ones.

We are very lucky with this cart order so if you can add it ، it would be appreciated.

Also can you tell me if there is a current solution now with our whmcs version.

That would be nice from you.

Thanks and have a nice day.

if it helps, i'm seeing on my devs what you're seeing - same product in both works in v7.7.1 & Modern, but fails in v7.8.3 and Modern (or needs two presses of the Continue button!)

I would suggest that if you enjoy old deprecated features of WHMCS, then don't update WHMCS without significant testing first - with each new release, comes the increased likelihood that old features will be removed, or not work in the same way... so if you're using those features, you need to test test test.

my suspicion is that it's JS-related and although probably fixable with time, not really worth the effort... it would be a better solution to use standard_cart - even if you restyle it to look like modern, e.g remove the sidebars and adjust the widths.

you could try contacting Support and seeing if this is considered a bug, or if they know of a quick fix.

Thanks alot Brian,

If i'm going to use the Standard cart order form , I think we will need the plan name to be appeared in the standard card like the one with modern cart

Do you have a custom code for that?

Also do you recommend any one step checkout cart around here ?

i've not quite sure what you mean - or how far you want to go to make it look like Modern..

in standard_cart/products.tpl, you could move the <header> block of code into the <div class="product-desc">block and you'd end up with this...

BZndxHq.png

if you wanted to, you could take the entire code, apart from the first line, from modern/products.tpl, paste it into standard_cart/products.tpl to replace the main div in there, replace the {$carttpl} reference with modern, and the opening page of the cart will then look like Modern...

tpaNE7K.png

but then you're in the realms of creating a custom orderform template and you couldn't just copy&paste code for the other templates in the order process between modern and SC!

it might be worthwhile going through the order process using standard_cart and making a list of changes that you would ideally like to make - that at least will tell you whether it's just minor tweaks required (possibly using hooks) or a custom orderform template.

none of them - I know there are a couple in Marketplace, but if you're going down this road, and you're updating WHMCS regularly, then I wouldn't buy anything until v7.9 is released next year and wait for the developers to update their templates accordingly.

even then, i'd probably be tempted to wait a few months until v8 is released because it will almost certainly have to include new orderform templates - there hasn't been any for 4+ years, so new cart templates are now long overdue.
