Change the URL for /announcements

Hi, we are using Full Friendly Rewrite https://docs.whmcs.com/Friendly_URLs and couldn't be happier about it.

Our questions is if it is possible to change URL name from /announcements to /news or /blog?

Hi @Jean Zahn at this time, no there is not a way to customise these URLs, I'd recommend adding a feature request dor the team to consider in the future,.

in the interests of transparency, are you also going to tell @Jean Zahn how long feature requests take to complete - aren't we talking 4 or 5 years usually??

let's try to be honest with the users and not give them false hope that this can be implemented "quickly" even if it receives an avalanche of votes... heck, you didn't even give him a link to the requests site!

Hi @WHMCS ChrisD and @brian!, thank you both. It was just an idea as we wanted to add more content to our WHMCS site by converting the Announcements to a Blog.

We completely understand that WHMCS's primary focus is its billing and automation features, so it is all good!

You could create a module that reads from the database of the announcement table tblannouncements, and and use  router to handel the urls or use the apache server url rewrite feature to do that for you.
