Client ACTIVATE massive

Hello @jlucho

There is not a way to do this, the status inactive is for anyone that does not have a service that is in the active status please remember that Inactive Clients do not count toward your WHMCS Licensing Tier, however, Active Clients do

An inactive client is defined as any client whose client status is not set to "Active".

By default WHMCS automatically manages the client status attribute based on the products, services, addons and domains within the clients account. If a client user has one or more active services they will be set to Active. Those without any active services will be set to Inactive. For more information on client statuses, please refer to Client Statuses

For some reason unknown to me, I have many customers in a INACTIVE state (598 clients)

I wouldn't worry about that - inactive clients can still login without issue and they won't know that they're "inactive".

https://docs.whmcs.com/Clients:Profile_Tab#Changing_a_Clients_Status

Quote
  • Active - Can login and has active or suspended services
  • Inactive - Can login but has no active services currently, removed from client dropdown menus
  • Closed - No active services and cannot login to the client area, removed from client dropdown menus

it's just that as Chris says, the number of ACTIVE clients could determine your WHMCS license cost (if you have a  monthly license that uses tiers) - not that this is mentioned in the above documentation. 🙄

I am manually activating each client, but it is too much work

you can disable the automatic changing of these users to inactive, but just bear in mind about what I said about the effect that could have on your license costs.

Is there any procedure to change to ACTIVE customers in bulk?

there would be ways, e.g you could run a SQL query - but client status isn't really relevant except in the convenience of finding them in the admin area - the clients themselves won't notice any difference whether they are marked as active or inactive.
