borzoid
Hi, I've always struggled with getting the emails set up right. I am currently setting up a new wordpress site with templates included. However this should not affect emails sent from admin - or so I think. I as admin get the emails sent by the admin panel telling me about suspensions, unsuspenstions, etc... However if I try to send a message to a client (even myself) The email never gets delivered. I have gone through the troubleshooting section of the knowledgebase I have checked the activity logs (says emails were sent) checked the client emails tabs ( it says the emails were sent) I've checked email tracking in cpanel and it says the emails were sent and accepted. However they are never delivered, not even to the junk mail folder. Is there someone who can get on skype with me and I can share screens and you can tell me what I've done wrong? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
borzoid
OK - in sending test messages to a client - I found that the "rich text editor" is not seeing anything I type in the message box. I have to switch that off in order to send the message. Could this be an issue that is affecting the automatically sent emails?
WHMCS ChrisD
@borzoid, when you send an email, does it appear under Utilities > Logs > Email Message Log?

borzoid
OK - so I just got home and I checked that the emails were all sent back (after some serious delay time), at least the ones I sent to myself as having been sent from an IP address with a bad reputation. So, is there a way around that. I've had the issue with a couple other sites and even had the host write additional dkm entries to try to correct that issue. Short of getting a dedicated IP for myself (and my clients) I am not sure what else to do.
borzoid
It is also - important, I think, that no matter what settings or templates or passwords I use - I keep getting spam support tickets. I have it set that users must be logged in to submit a ticket but these are not my users and I don't know how they are submitting the tickets.
Kian
You could send email with Dedicated SMTP so that even if your webserver has a bad reputation you can still send emails without any problem. Personally I use Microsoft Exchange Online but there are hundreds of alternatives. As for spam sadly it's normal. Enabling CAPTCHA helps.
