Combine configureproductdomain to configureproduct

Has anyone tried this?

methinks if it were simple to do, then a lot of custom orderform templates would be doing it. 😀

I'm really not a fan of this design. First, you select which webhosting package you need - and afterwards, it looks like you're ordering/transferring a domain

that cart process hasn't changed since i've been here... and probably long before then... I suppose in many ways, 'Vertical Steps' showed a clearer process - in that at least the user knew they were in a 5-step ordering process... now, a new user wouldn't know how many steps there are... and if they were in a bundle, they could be looping all over the place!

Can configureproductdomain.tpl be added to configureproduct.tpl without any issues?

the big issue being that it wouldn't work...

most custom orderform templates are basically just css changes to the current process... occasionally, you'll see a one page template (e.g RactStudio's Ajaxcart), but it's difficult to modify the existing process... unless you start afresh from the ground up.

it will be interesting to see what happens in v8 with the cart process... if it's the same as v5,6 & 7, then i'd be lost for words...  actually, I might find some if that occurs.
