Account Suspension to Modify DNS

Recommended Posts

I have some clients who have registered domains with me but have pointed DNS to another hosting provider. In the event that a client does not pay and their account is suspended, their sites still work if they point DNS to another provider. It would be good to include an option to modify DNS so that the "Account Suspended" page would be displayed for all domains on an account.

You'd be in breach of all sorts of domain rules&regulations by changing the nameservers on a domain - whilst you may be able to do this if that specific domain isn't paid for, you can't hold them hostage or payment for something else

If the domain is expired, is the Registry who (following its own rules) parks its DNS, or put it in redemption mode.

The result is the same: the domain does not work anymore.

Otherwise, if the domain is not expired, it means that the user has paid for it, and so you can't block it.
