effortlessweb
I registered a new domain on my website but when I logged into whmcs it shows this error: "Bad User name or Password" Also, the domain name that I registered for up to 10 years is still available with other domain registrars and the money I deposited into my enom account is still intact. The domain name is showing in my client area but still shows the Bad User name or Password Am not sure of what the problem is and how it can be sorted. Thanks
brian!
https://docs.whmcs.com/Enom#Test_Mode any chance you have your eNom module settings in WHMCS in Test Mode ? Quote To use the Enom test mode, it's not as simple as ticking the test mode option in the configuration area. You must setup an account separately on the dedicated demo system they offer. In your Enom account navigate to Resellers > API > Test Account and click all three links under "Test Interface Options": http://www.enom.com/resellers/ResellerTestAccount.asp With the Test Mode checkbox ticked you can now place domain registration orders in WHMCS, the domains will appear on your demo Enom account @ http://resellertest.enom.com but no domain will actually be registered and you will not be charged.
effortlessweb
Thank you for your response. It was not a test mode purchase, it was actually a real purchase with a domain name I intend to use but I created a 100% coupon code for myself so it is like a person making a real purchase. Is it because o purchased with my names or something else? Thanks
WHMCS ChrisD
@effortlessweb I'd recommend checking the module logs under Utilities > Logs > Modules Logs and then try replicating the error. Please also check that you have put the right username and password in the ENOM Module and have whitelisted your IP as shown as https://docs.whmcs.com/Enom#IP_Registration
Shizane
I feel like I need to chime in on this topic as I spent hours trying to resolve it. If you're in Test Mode with the Enom module, use your Enom password instead of the API key. That worked for me in resolving the "Bad username or password" error. I had to email WHMCS support and they helped me.
