bear
W-H-M-C-S, just like mySQL is not "mysequel" (my S-Q-L), and PHP is not "fip", and GIF is a "J" sound, like the peanut butter (not like get or gimp). You're welcome.
inteldigital
Who the heck pronounces PHP as "FIP"? HAHA. That's too much. I have to disagree, GIF is not a J sound. Don't be so disgusting. How To *Really* Pronounce GIF

Don't be so disgusting. How To *Really* Pronounce GIF Disgusting? Steve Wilhite created the Graphics Interchange Format, or GIF, while working for Compuserve in 1987. On Tuesday, he received a Webby Award for it and delivered his five-word acceptance speech (that's all the Webbys allow) by flashing a GIF on the big screens at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York. And, in a flash, it all became clear: "It's pronounced JIF, not GIF." Anyone who feels the need can debate the way to say it, but the creator, in my opinion, gets to decide. bear
If you say so, and feel the need to argue over nothing. The creator calls it JIF, I'll go with that.
