aknight
V7.2.1 When in /admin when I am prompted for "Confirm password to continue" I enter the password, click Confirm Password and my 404 page loads. This just started today, was working fine. -Allan
brian!
it's strange that it just occurs all of a sudden - have you made any recent changes? one thing to try, though it may not necessarily help if you're being redirected to a 404 page, would be the hook posted below by jclarke - it removes the need to enter the password when you get this Confirm Password nonsense. https://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?123954-HOWTO-Disable-or-remove-quot-You-are-entering-an-administrative-area-of-WHMCS-and-must-confirm-quot&p=517286#post517286 https://gist.github.com/jclarke/92cb1e0d6f312872690f3c2b4be86bf7
aknight
Thank you Brian, I added the hook to /includes/hooks but still get the Confirm Password. Just for fun I then tried IE rather than Chrome. I still get the Confirm Password but I get past it without a 404. I am good for now, thanks again! -Allan
brian!
the form will still appear for a split second, but the hook should automatically forward you on the intended page... it doesn't necessarily work automatically on all pages, but should in setup -> general settings and a few others. it's a ridiculously annoying feature.
HarryWales
I too have a similar intermittent issue with 7.2.2 If I use Chrome it often fails to login to admin - Firefox never fails. And why do I have to keep inputting the password every time I change page?
