schwim
The subject says it all really. We don't want to charge our clients a percentage, but a flat fee. Is there a way to do this? thanks, json
bear
Yup. Configuration -> General -> Invoices tab Late Fee Type: Percentage or Fixed Amount (radio button choice) Late Fee Amount: Enter the amount (percentage or monetary value) to add onto late invoices (set to 0 to disable)
schwim
Hi there Bear, Is this something that would have been added after 3.2.3? I don't see the option. Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. I greatly appreciate it. thanks, json
bear
That's possible. I'm on the latest version, to take advantage of not only improvements, but any security changes. You might consider upgrading as well. Perhaps someone that recalls or uses the same version as you will be able to help here, I can't refer to my installation to check...
othellotech
Is this something that would have been added after 3.2.3? I don't see the option. 3.0.x it was only a flat fee 3.2.x it was "fixed" to be a %age 3.3.x the fix was fixed to allow for both x.x.x its going to be enhanced to cater for: # min fee and max fee amounts when using %ages # per client override facility, so that people who've advised about paying late dont get the fee # per gateway settings, as certain payment types can take longer than others to arrive # option to use working days not elapsed days in the date calculation for being subject to late-payment-charges # additional config settings for # setting for inclusion of additional text on invoices regarding the fee(s) as per UK.EU legal requirements # ability to create separate invoices for the charges, rather than line-items on existing invoices, as current system breaks all sorts of regulations on invoicing x.x.x+1 will also have # the ability to make admin charges as well as interest charges and penalty charges # to send advices of the charge being applied at a specified period before application - n days # optional "grace-day" when client comes to view the invoice on the day of the charge, and sees the additional charge and is paying immediately, to void off the charge as a goodwill gesture. x.x.x+2 is going to uber-psychic, and know if the application of a late-payment charge is going to annoy the client into leaving, before applying the charge, as well as simply terminating the service of all the deadbeats, followed by actual termination of the deadbeat, for those who arent going to be paying despite signing a 12 month contract .... Disclaimer the above x.x.x details is part expectation, part requirement, and part wishful thinking - and is not an official WHMCS development plan
TommyK
# ability to create separate invoices for the charges, rather than line-items on existing invoices, as current system breaks all sorts of regulations on invoicing this one gets my vouch. i have trouble getting people to pay the late fees, this would help in my opinion.
brianr
this one gets my vouch. i have trouble getting people to pay the late fees, this would help in my opinion. The issue then is to make sure you don't charge late fees on late fees.
