I am no longer able to log into the admin panel(bad password)
schwim replied to schwim's topic in Using WHMCS
I did as posted above. I should have mentioned that I don't need to deal with the IP ban, as my wife logs in successfully from the same network. I'll retire this and post a trouble ticket as I need it rectified in a timely manner. thanks, json -
Hi there everyone! I attempted to log in to my panel this morning and was unable due to incorrect password. I clicked the password reset, but it goes to a 404. I then found the correct URL via Google, but it(pwreset.php) leads to a templated empty page(no WHMCS content). I then tried via phpMyAdmin to manually enter my password (MD5 encrypted), but the password still shows as incorrect. I then tried to alter my password through another admin account in the panel, but it requires entering the current password, which is not being recognized. That's it. I have no other ideas and would greatly appreciate some help on figuring out how to get my admin account working again. Thanks for your time!

Hi there everyone, Version: 4.1.2 We get a lot of complaints about how long the clients receive the domain renewal notifications. Up till now, we assumed that they could renew early in their control panel but after two new complaints, we logged in as the client to find that although they get the notices, there's no way for them to pay for the domain early in our system. Looking through the admin panel, we also can't see a way to send them an invoice for the upcoming hosting and domain renewal. Could someone let me know how I might change this? I'm sure it's a setting we're neglecting to modify, but I just can't find it. Thanks for your time!

That seems to have solved my problem. Thank you so much for your help. thanks, json

Thanks very much for your reply John, but it's not working for me. I've created the forward as the tutorial suggested: And sending an email to the address generates a bounce containing the following: The path is correct, I've checked to make sure that pipe.php still resides in the dir. I'm not sure what else to do. thanks, json

Hi there everyone, I've moved a site using WHMCS from one server using cpanell to another. Although I didn't have a problem on the departing server, I'm finding I have a problem with the new server. WHMCS wants me to create an email forward to "| php -q /home/username/public_html/whmcs/pipe/pipe.php", however, when I try this, it creates a forward to "| /home/username/php -q /home/username/public_html/whmcs/pipe/pipe.php" instead. This is below the forward section: I apologize for my being dense, but I'm not sure what it's telling me to do to rectify this problem. Could anyone else tell me how to reformat the command to work with my later cpanel install? thanks, json Any help on getting this working would be greatly appreciated. thanks, json

Hi there everyone, I recently had the server housing my whmcs install bite the dust and had to move the site to another server. I've moved the content and db over, but I'm just getting a 500 error out of the install on the new site. I've ensured the ioncube is installed on the new server. Is there something else I need to do to get it up and running? Am I better off with a new install and then swapping out the db and template? Any help is greatly appreciated, json

Hi there guys, I've got a client that moved to another hosting provider and the renewal has come up for a hosting package that is no longer applicable. Thing is, I've moved servers in the interim, and there isn't an account to terminate or suspend. The only important thing to me is to show in the system that it's no longer an applicable service. I worry that if I do it incorrectly, I'll mess up the payment history in WHMCS. Could someone share with me the proper way to cancel a service in the system, not necessarily on the server that hosts it? thanks, json

Hi there guys, I'm sure it's just a setting I have wrong, but nonetheless, it's a pretty problematic issue. My clients are getting notifications that their hosting and domains are up for renewal, with the email telling them to log into their panel to pay the invoice. Problem is, once they log in, there are no invoices to pay !! It's sending the email, but not creating the invoice. Looking at their data in the admin panel, the renewal date is correct and it's set to "mail payment" (I had a previous problem due to PP subscription being chosen, so checked for this first). I can't see anything causing the problem. I've attached an image showing the client domain info to show an example of the client setup that is leading up to this. Thanks very much for your help, json

Can late fees be a flat rate as opposed to a percentage?
schwim replied to schwim's topic in Using WHMCS
Hi there Bear, Is this something that would have been added after 3.2.3? I don't see the option. Thanks very much for taking the time to reply. I greatly appreciate it. thanks, json -
The subject says it all really. We don't want to charge our clients a percentage, but a flat fee. Is there a way to do this? thanks, json

Hi there everyone, Since the upgrade from 3.0.0 to 3.2.1, when a customer replies to a trouble ticket via email, it creates a new ticket instead of appending it to the existing ticket. Is there a way to resolve this? thanks, json

Bummer, man. thanks, json

Hi there guys, A couple days ago, the morons found my site, and after a test ticket, they set up the bots to send viagra links through our support ticket system. I saw that 3.2.1 offered ticket spam protection, so that's what we upgraded to. I went to the spam control link and entered: viagra cialis into the "phrase" portion of the form, and saved them. Then I went into the ticket system, and entered the following ticket. "I like viagra and cialis a lot!" It created the ticket and provided me a handy link to follow it's progress. What am I doing wrong that the spam control isn't matching the words? thanks, json

Thanks very much for that. I appreciate the help a bunch! thanks, json

Hi there guys, V. 3.0 I've got a problem. I have customers that can not pay their invoices. No notices get sent out and the invoices only show up on the front page of the admin panel. If I view due or overdue invoices, they're not there. This is what I see on my admin front panel: This is the only place that the invoices show up. I can not request that it sends a notification email, and it wouldn't matter anyway, since she can't see them in her client area. What have I done wrong? thanks, json

Hi there, We've got 2 customers now that have ordered a hosting package with a dedicated IP and SSL cert addon. When they order, payments are created for the hosting and domain. The addons are listed in their order details, but no subscription or payment is made, and there is no way for either the client or admin to initiate a payment for these addons. What are we doing wrong that the addons are so elusive? thanks, json

Can client upgrade an account without breaking subscription?
schwim replied to schwim's topic in Using WHMCS
Unless Paypal has changed, it is a shorcoming(security feature???) on their part. I've seen people alter subscriptions, but it has to be done on the client side. The vendor can't alter a subscription. thanks, json -
Can client upgrade an account without breaking subscription?
schwim replied to schwim's topic in Using WHMCS
Thanks for the reply PPH. That's what I'll do thanks, json -
Hi there guys, Someone subscribed for 12 months of package A($10.00 a month-total paid $120.00). 4 months into the subscription, they realized that what they really need is package b($14.00 a month-total paid $168.00). They're 4 months into it so they've got 8 months left of their original subscription. What would be the best way to handle the upgrade? Should I have them pay the difference in a one time payment, then cancel their subscription at the end of the subscription period and have them create a new order with package b when it's time to renew? thanks, json

Account Creation Failed: Socket Connection Failed (Success)
schwim replied to schwim's topic in Using WHMCS
Thanks very much for your post, d33pa. Unfortunately, it's already ticked for me. Maybe I'll try unticking it to see if that does any good. Any other suggestions would be welcome. thanks, json -

Hi again, Yes, WHMCS says that I'm running the latest version. I saw the other post as well, I'll see if either of us get a resolution thanks, json -
Linux & IE 6/Firefox 2.0 here, and I've had 3 or 4 timeouts, but other than that, no issue at all. thanks, json
