Limiting Quantity of Domains Purchased at Sale Price

Hi,

 

I am new to WHMCS and am offering a sale price on domain names right on the main page. The sale price is about half of my cost for a domain name registration. With that said I obviously want to limit the number of domains that are purchased at the sale price. Also, I don't want to require someone who wants to register a domain to buy hosting.

 

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your post, users can order a domain without hosting from your home page, in regards to limiting the number of products avalible to order at a discounted price, this is not something WHMCS supports out of the box and would require customisation, you may find an addon module in the marketplace (marketplace.whmcs.com)

With that said I obviously want to limit the number of domains that are purchased at the sale price.

if you wanted to limit the number to just one domain per customer, then you could use a promotion code.

and then configure it to apply once per order and only once per client...

 

 

obviously, they could get around that by creating new accounts - but I assume you'd be able to spot that if it occurs.

 

if you want to set the limit to more than 1, then as Chris suggests, you're into the realms of customisation - either through an existing addon or a custom one written for you.
