kipperjp
I have been using whmcs for many years and my products/services and server list in setup has a LOT of baggage I wish to clean up. so if have a customer who has a terminated package whmcs will not let me delete that package. For example one package - which I used about 10 years ago no longer has any active customers using it. I get this error when trying to delete the package: "You cannot delete a product that is in use. To delete the product, you need to first re-assign or remove the products using it." Same problem with servers. What do you guys do to clean up your product and server lists of products and servers you no longer use? Thanks, John
dEbo
Go to products and service and set filter by your "old" product and delete any result you get. "You cannot delete a product that is in use. To delete the product, you need to first re-assign or remove the products using it." simply means there are still some record related to the product or server. The services might be already cancelled/terminated but still exist in db.
WHMCS Support Manager WHMCS John Posted December 24, 2016 WHMCS Support Manager Share Posted December 24, 2016 Hi, Old products which you no longer wish to sell can be marked as "Retired" in the product configurations, this will hide them from any product dropdown menus, which makes things a bit neater.
