Using 2 different accounts with the same payment gateway module ?

Hi,

 

We are currently using PSIGate as our payment gateway module.

We have opened a new account with them in order to be able to do deposit in a different bank account under a different currency.

 

We would need to use a second account for our payment gateway so that when a customer pays in that different currency, he gets redirected to that 2nd payment gateway (which is basically the same provider, PSIGate). Then our fund would be deposed into the proper bank account.

 

Do you guys have any ideas on how this could be achieved ?

I don't think that you can run two payment gateways with the same internal name - e.g you couldn't just duplicate the file and rename it.

I'm unsure if it's something support would do for you (either free or for payment), but if they could duplicate the file for you, changing it's internal name, then you might be able to run the two duplicate gateways together.

 

i'm not a PSIGate user, but would the "Convert To For Processing" checkbox be of any use for you in your circumstance?

Convert To For Processing – This option is for when using multiple currencies. It is possible that not every gateway you use will accept all the currencies you offer on your site and so for those that don’t, you can choose a currency here for WHMCS to convert to before sending to them. For example if using Google Checkout with a UK account but offering prices in GBP & USD, you would need to select GBP in the Convert To box. This will use the rates set in Setup > Payments > Currencies to do the conversion which can be set to auto update daily.

That is a great question, have you asked your merchant, if they have a solution for that, because if so, there may be other things that might work better.

We are able to create a duplicate of the PSIGate Gateway for you there would be a one off cost of $40/USD to do this, if you'd like to proceed you'll just need to open a support ticket and request the service.

 

Then you'd have multiple gateways of which you can have setup e.g PSIGate - USD PSIGate - CAD and the the client can choose the correct gateway.

if you do open a ticket with Support, it might also be worth checking what happens should the PSIGate module get updated (though that probably doesn't happen too often!) - will you have to pay again, or will Support duplicate it again for you for free ?

We'll re-duplicate at no cost although I don't think PSIGate will change anytime
