Can't access PM inbox?

I received a private message on this forum, but when I click the "You have 1 new message" link on top, I get the error "Not Authorised".

 

Any suggestions?

You will need to have at least 15 posts, before you can access your PM.

That's correct. The PM was from me, didn't realize you didn't have enough posts. I tossed the PM and emailed you instead.

Yea was trying to access mine too, had received PMs before.

Please don't spam the forums. The limits are there for a reason - to prevent spam from newly registered spam bots.

Would a lower setting work just as well? It causes problems for a lot of the new users and it would seem that the mod works, but maybe it would work with a lower setting?

The problem PPH (and I run several forums and am moderators on others) is balancing a fine line between stopping idiots who join forums and then spam members via PM and other methods and giving new members who are genuine users full benefits.

 

I am sure that Matt has the best interests of all at heart

I think the limits are fine, except if we can't read pm's it would be better if we don't receive pms. The problem I had was I received a pm and it was still sitting there saying "You have 1 new message" and I couldn't read it
