Hi,

WHMCS has always made use of this functionality so that you can charge a setup fee and use promo codes. Seems that PayPal might have changed the formatting of their emails to start displaying this information.

Unfortunately there isn't anything that can be done from the software side to change the formatting of PayPal's emails.

Hi,

The mechanic PayPal uses to allow a price variation at the start of the a subscription has always been referred to as a "Trial Period" for as long as I can remember. I'm afraid I don't see PayPal changing this any this any time soon: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/paypal-payments-standard/integration-guide/subscribe_buttons/#id08ADFJ0D0HJ
