Using WHMCS to sell VPS accounts question

I want to know if WHMCS is for me, I'm looking to resell a handfull of Linux VPS's (maybe 5-10) as a personal project (no company), from a website I registered. I would just charge like 10$/month for my few members and that's about it. Can WHMCS create the main website for my domain? and once users sign up for a vps by choosing their plan, can they have a control panel to control their vps? (i read about virtualizor) but not sure how they would access it from WHMCS? If someone can give me some of these answers to help me decide if this is a good product for my needs. thanks

Thanks for your interest in WHMCS. Our software could be used as your entire website if you installed it in the web root directory, yes.

 

WHMCS does not provide a control panel for clients to manage their hosting/VPS, you'd need a piece of software to handle that. For shared hosting one would typically use cPanel or Plesk, for VPSes the virtualisation software we support is listed at http://docs.whmcs.com/Server_Modules

 

There are some server management options available within the WHMCS client area for clients to control their VPS and view statistics about it without needing to loin to the virtualisation control panel. The options available depend upon the software you choose and our documentation explains which functions are available with each.

ok I purchased WHMCS yesterday and started setinng it up, I want my product plans for my vps's displayed on the main page, is that possible other than editing the template file myself and putting text there?

Hi,

There is not an option that would achieve that, so it would require a template customisation. Specifically you'd be looking to edit /templates/*your active template*/homepage.tpl.
